A Day In My Life/What I Ate *At Home* | Monday 4th May *Chilled Out Day*

Hey guys,
So I asked for some blog post ideas a little while ago on Instagram and someone suggested a day in the life post, I also had the suggestion of what I eat in a day a while ago in a comment on a blog post too (which varies sooo much from day to day) so I figured I would combine the two and do a day in the life and what I ate on this particular day (this post is a little late up and is from just over a week ago)
Obviously what I do everyday varies at the moment, some days I don't really do anything at all and other days I do a little more haha
With all that said let's get into it shall we?
Okay, so first things first I checked my Bible app (for those who don't know I'm a Christian, I've spoken about it on my channel and on Instagram and I've mentioned it a little on here recently in posts)

Anyway, I recently downloaded this app to work on getting closer to God and learn more about Him and Jesus etc and I honestly love it so much, it makes everything so easy to read and understand and they even let you change which version you read
Since downloading this app I've started reading the verse of the day first thing as I feel like it's better than going straight onto social media to start the day

This was the verse of the day this particular day in case anyone is interested

After that I watched a little bit of YouTube, I can't actually remember what I watched as I'm still writing this a while after taking all the photos and writing down what I did in order haha

Then I started writing some more of a blog post (my April highlights post which went up a little while ago)

Once I was done with that I got some breakfast
I opted for pancakes and buttercream icing (don't knock it 'til you've tried it, it's sooo good)

Obviously breakfast varies but I love pancakes and buttercream so much! It's definitely a fave of mine

Then I just sat and chilled for a bit honestly just on Instagram and playing games on my phone

A little later I had some lunch, we had a takeaway the night before and had a cheesy garlic bread left (you know how some places offer something free when you spend a certain amount) so I had half of the cheesy garlic bread and some crisps for lunch

A bit later on I did a warm up and stretched for the first time in like a month haha oops, I need to work on making stretching a consistent thing
It felt so good to stretch again though, I always forget how much I actually love stretching, I always feel so good afterwards

After stretching I decided to have a bath and do a face mask, so I put the face mask on and then hopped into a nice pink bath haha

Here are the bath products I used, as well as the face mask I used too

Lush Comforter bubble bar, Lush Butterball bath bomb, Soap And Glory Clean On Me shower gel, Lush Butterbear shower jelly (I like to use both shower gel/jelly for some reason haha, my skin feels super soft after) and Lush Bunny Moon face mask

After my bath I put on some of the Zoella Beauty body sorbet, I'm trying to get into the habit of using body lotion type products more often as it's something I never usually do

Okay, I'm gonna be real with you guys, I was in my pjs until I had a bath haha
I mean it was a chilled out day haha, just wanted to be real, I also haven't been getting up too early either haha

Anyway, here's the outfit it put on after the bath

Okay, ignore the trainers, this is the outfit but this photo was taken a few days earlier so I'm using it for now to get this post up as I forgot to take one on this particular day but I will take a picture without the trainers and edit it later on haha

A little while after that I had dinner
For dinner I had something I like to make quite a bit, I guess it's kind of a soup, but basically I chop up tinned potatoes and carrots, add sweetcorn, I sometimes add hot dogs and then I add tomato soup and just heat it all together in a pan
Once I've heated it up I add cheese and melt that in there too

After dinner we just watched TV and a few hours later I decided to get a snack

I just got some cookies as a snack, these are Aldi's and they're sooo good!

Then a little while later it was time to go to bed, I'm gonna be honest I sit on my laptop a little longer before bed (I know it's not the best thing to do) so I sat in bed watching YouTube and then I listened to Justin Bieber's Changes album whilst finishing my April highlights post I linked earlier in this post, which recently went up.
Is anyone else just way more creative at night though? Or is it just me? haha

I then did a guided prayer on the Churchome app, another app I've downloaded recently to help me get closer to God and learn more about Him and Jesus

And then I went to bed, bringing us to the end of this day in my life/what I ate on this particular day
Also before I end this post, just a reminder my days vary at the moment like everyone else, this was just a chilled out day, I guess it was sort of productive too but mostly chilled out
Some days I'll be more productive and other days I just wanna laze around and hardly do anything at all and that's okay, use this time to take a break and relax or use it to get lots done or to do something you've wanted to do for a while but haven't had the time to do (that can be done from home of course), all of those things are perfectly fine

I feel like I was definitely more motivated to stretch etc because I knew I wanted to write this and I didn't want it to be boring for you to read haha
I'm definitely trying more recently since writing this to stretch more consistently and do a bit more but I'm also allowing myself to just chill if I want to as well, again both are fine, there's no right or wrong on what to be doing during lockdown, do what you wanna do!

Anyway, with all that said, I hope you guys enjoyed this different style blog post
I'm sorry it ended up being more of a what I ate than a day in the life but I feel like I kind of captured that too (hopefully)
Be sure to let me know in the comments one thing you're loving doing whilst most of us are at home recently and also let me know if you'd like to see more posts like this one as it was fun to write

Thank you guys so much for reading and I will see you very soon for another blog post,
Hanna x

  1. Great post! I've been going on a few walks during lockdown and I really enjoy it as it's great exercise and you get to enjoy the outdoors as well. I've also liked stretching as well!💜☺

    1. Thank you! Yeah, I've been playing in the garden with the dogs mostly as a way to get outside and I've stretched outside a couple times too
